Boutique Wineries

The wine cellar at Albar features national and international award winning Spanish wines, that have been sourced from “family owned wineries”. The wines are from dedicated vintners, who pride themselves on quality and are of limited production. These “premiado” wines are packed full of wonderful flavours that evoke the taste of Spain.

Our selection includes, as one would expect, wines of the Rioja and Ribera del Duero.  Alongside these are a Somontano of Northern Spain, award-winning local Almeria wines, and a special Argentinian Mendoza.

The locally produced Vina Laujar is a full-bodied and intensely flavoured red suited to complementing our red meats, big game and cheeses.

For white wines the house selection is a Ribera del Duero, excellent for tapas, fish, salads and pizza.  We also offer two excellent Cavas, which are also sold by the glass, and a rosado from the Bodega of Juan Emilio Garcia.

The Red Selection
